Using the tools that Discogs provides Sellers is always a nice shortcut to avoid some of the more common transactional issues. It’s also a great way to avoid insane amounts of aspirin and costly anger management seminars. Using Discogs’ Seller tools is just good for you, trust us on this one.
One of the most common issues our Sellers encounter is the cancellation of orders. And you’re going to be wondering now: “But what can Discogs do for me?”. Or maybe you’ll just know what we’re going to recommend since you’re so incredibly smart and resourceful. We are not psychics, so we don’t really know.
Now jokes apart, there is one tool that we haven’t been talking about much that Sellers will find really useful. This feature is Automatic Non-Paying Buyer Cancellation, the go-to feature for all those Sellers who find difficult to keep up with large amounts of orders.
By setting up your Automatic Non-Paying Buyer Cancellation in your profile settings, you can avoid contacting our support team and skip other extra steps such as reviewing the orders that haven’t been paid in the last month.
The premise is simple – if a buyer does not pay you for an order within a set amount of days, the order is automatically cancelled with no further action needed from you. Sounds great, right? Follow our instructions below to set this up for your seller account.
Setting up Automatic Non-Paying Buyer Cancellation is really easy:
- Go to your Seller Settings page.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find the Automatic “Non-Paying Buyer” Cancellation section.
- Click the box to enable the feature.
- Select the number of days you would like to allow before the order is automatically cancelled due to non-payment. You can select from a range of 4-14 days.
- Click the Save button.
That’s it! No more tracking down those buyers that haven’t sent payments and manually cancelling their orders. Oh wait, one more little thing, if you would like to re-list the items in the order once it has been cancelled:
- Go to the order page.
- Check the box next to the item(s), and then
- Click on the Relist Item(s) for Sale button.
Easy, right? Set this feature up soon and welcome to the fast lane for Discogs Sellers.
