That shirt with the guitar that turns into a tree is the winner? What has that got to do with discogs? 95% here is guitarless music.

Sheesh. It’s fucking shit, didn’t anyone notice? Mind you having checked the other designs there wasn’t much to choose from. Did anyone that has the slightest idea what Discogs is actually do a design? Doesn’t look much like it.

  • Apr 9,2008 at 06:02

On top of http://www.threadless.com/loves/discogs you can see “Yo, check out the winner!” and right below the ugly thing.

Is that thing with the guitar and tree really the winning design? How does that represent Discogs? There’s no mention of Discogs on the page either, how are you guys sure that’s the winning design? I must be missing something.

Yeah, not sure how this embodies “Music: Past, Present, Future.” Maybe the tree became guitar became track b3?

  • Apr 7,2008 at 14:13

  • Apr 3,2008 at 01:07

  • Apr 2,2008 at 13:54
who’s gonna want a discogs shirt now?
Hopefully LOTS of people.. I’ve got a bunch of ‘I “heart” v4’ shirts for sale… ooops sorry, it’s ‘I “hate” v4’… my bad…

  • Mar 25,2008 at 09:30

brrr really horrible for me.. i remember there were many other better…
Especially funny: Discogs started as an electronic music site, and it’s an electric guitar as the instrument of choice
ahah yes…

  • Mar 24,2008 at 13:59

The winning shirt should be “V4 killed the discogs stars.”

  • Mar 24,2008 at 13:18

    Is that seriously the T-shirt?

  • Mar 24,2008 at 11:47

Eh, not that interested. Especially funny: Discogs started as an electronic music site, and it’s an electric guitar as the instrument of choice. Oh well …

stuntdouble – good job getting your referral into that link ;)

For anyone who hasn’t seen it, T0mmy_B0y’s original pink gayoggs design is a classic. Let me find some action shots…

Threadless winning submissions get bank + loot, reasons enough for me =)

can’t wait to see which design got chosen.

  • Mar 21,2008 at 00:19

I’m surprised some actually took the time to participate in this.

  • Mar 20,2008 at 21:12

Some sort of logo with a record broken in two might be representative.

  • Mar 20,2008 at 17:12

simfo, fix the management team before selling t shirts, thanks. i know you are a good guy.

  • Mar 20,2008 at 17:08

If there is a discogs gravestone competition I would participate.

  • Mar 12,2008 at 10:51

I can’t help and wonder how many will wear the shirt and remember the good times, or buy a couple and burn them in effigy.

  • Mar 12,2008 at 10:44

I know they’re in the process of printing the winning design. Just keep an eye on Threadless as we can’t announce anything before they do.

  • Mar 4,2008 at 05:39

I’m really excited about this contest and can’t wait to see what the winning design looks like.

Typically, no definate answer to the result. Holds parallels to here, no? ;)

  • Feb 26,2008 at 14:49

No word yet, still “Announcing soon …”

For a general idea about how long it takes to get a design chosen and ready to purchase, the Cranium competition ended Dec. 19, and was available Feb. 25th. At that rate, it might be another month before it’s known and available. I should submit pics of my shirts and see if I can get it free =)

  • Feb 25,2008 at 14:51
I like the Discogs logo. I’d buy that on a t-shirt.
Indeed

    so which ‘design’ actually won??

  • Feb 1,2008 at 19:27

..you can borrow one of my clear vinyl 12″s.. and improve the new logo even more ;)

  • Jan 31,2008 at 17:40

I like the Discogs logo. I’d buy that on a t-shirt.

  • Jan 20,2008 at 00:14
Ah, but it could be expanded and improved upon ;)
Hey I’ve got that record :o)
If only we were provided a larger logo to work from…
The logo should not be included in the design:
The purpose of the submissions relating to this promotion is to create a stand-alone design inspired by the theme, not a brand tee. Your design should not have the brand name or logo on it.
• Jan 16,2008 at 06:29

If only we were provided a larger logo to work from…

  • Jan 2,2008 at 01:55
Look at the picture and try to imagine, why I prefer a cd… ;)
Just use one of those transparant records…
Another proof CDs are of no use ;P
What, you think vinyl’s any better?

  • Jan 1,2008 at 07:27

Another proof CDs are of no use ;P
Well i kind of like the Discogs logo

  • Dec 31,2007 at 07:58
I would prefer a CD instead of vinyl.
You mean, like so?

  • Dec 30,2007 at 22:18
Was there text in it?
Quote of the day :):)

  • Dec 30,2007 at 16:11

Look at the picture and try to imagine, why I prefer a cd… ;)

  • Dec 30,2007 at 15:40
I would prefer a CD instead of vinyl.
With 1,4 million vinyls in the marketplace and not even 0,2 million CD’s I say no to using a CD instead of vinyl as a part of a discogs symbol.

  • Dec 30,2007 at 15:01

I would prefer a CD instead of vinyl.

  • Dec 30,2007 at 11:16

    Was there text in it?

  • Dec 30,2007 at 09:56
Ah, but it could be expanded and improved upon ;)
Don’t like it. The text is pixelated… ;)

  • Dec 30,2007 at 09:06
the discogs logo is pretty embarrassingly bad.
Ah, but it could be expanded and improved upon ;)

  • Dec 25,2007 at 07:26
the discogs logo is pretty embarrassingly bad.
I’ve seen worse… in the 80’s! :)

  • Dec 25,2007 at 02:19

Look at the top left of this page. That’s the logo;)

  • Dec 25,2007 at 01:41

is there a Discogs logo, then?

  • Dec 24,2007 at 20:42

It’s not supposed to include the discogs name or logo. Which is a good thing, really, the discogs logo is pretty embarrassingly bad.

  • Dec 24,2007 at 19:34

I just noticed that – so we’re finally getting an “official” Discogs t-shirt? =)
