Top 30 Most Expensive Items Sold on Discogs in June 2022

The June 2022 most expensive list includes some hard-to-find box sets, jazz rarities, and a record that features art by the infamous Bansky.

Limited box sets are always fetching big bucks and this month was no exception. Massive Abba, Bob Dylan, and Pink Floyd collections all found new homes in June. The Pink Floyd box set includes 12 LPs, the Abba set features 26 7-inches, and Bob Dylan’s Bootleg Series box houses 18 CDs and nine 7-inches!

Serious collectors also snatched up a wide variety of jazz titles. Classic records from Eric Dolphy, Joe Henderson, and Johnny Griffin all secured a slot in the top 30.

One of the month’s stand-out releases is Melody A.M. by Röyksopp. This particular version is quite rare, with only 100 hand-numbered copies pressed. The plain white sleeve features stencil art by Banksy, the world’s most mysterious street artist. Other releases in the database that feature Banksy cover art have been known to land on the most expensive list, so this high dollar sale comes as no surprise.

Additional notable releases include two copies of David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The Worlda self-released soul-jazz album from 1977, and an original pressing of Mayhem’s Deathcrush.
