There has been a site outage this morning – we are now back up and running and will be looking into the cause of this. Very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
6 new webservers? Wow – great news.
It is very disturbing to discover that Discogs is such a big part of my life. I can’t even browse the web-shops for new records because I need Discogs as a reference :-D Bloody pathetic really but I know that I’m not alone ;-)
I went to update my own Excel list with new purchases from Juno only to find Discogs was down…
Then I needed to verify some addresses on the Marketplace, er…
Discogs really has become the essential resource for me and I’m sure many others.
I made some performance improvements over the weekend (which has nothing to do with the outage) so you should notice a speedup today. We also have six additional web servers that will be coming online soon.
Every time the servers take a dive I’m thinking, is this Armageddon, is this the end of the world as I know it?

My guess is that thousands of people hitting reload over and over again may cause the servers to go down when they’re under too much pressure. The site was really slow yesterday so perhaps it’s time to get some extra servers again?
impossible to add cat & label when adding new release.
will be better tomorrow i guess.
I’m getting stylesheet free pages.
server time error when i comment on submissions.
Heart’s back to a regular rhythm now…
glad we’re back …
i used the time to scan a shitload full of images, but i can’t upload them !
