The Discogs Top 50 Best Selling Records Of December 2019
December shall forever be a weird month for music. RSD Black Friday and the Christmas rush assure that very rarely a new unique release will shine through the noise of reissues and perennial holiday classics. Then there’s Tracy Chapman, who will always be on the top 50, no matter how hard I’ve tried in the past. Otherwise, the Gypsy Woman remix is superb and the Hiroshi Suzuki reissue is essential. I find it humorous that while Discogs does not allow for sales of “unofficial” releases, here comes Depeche Mode at #19 with Highline To Lo-Fi Sessions. I appreciate that it was probably tagged as such only after the sales occurred but there are still copies available to purchase as I write this. haha.
