Top 50 Best-Selling Records in May 2022
The May 2022 best-selling list is here and it includes some Record Store Day titles, new releases, and reissues of classic ’80s albums.
Even a month after April’s Record Store Day drop, RSD titles continued to attract fans in the Discogs Marketplace. A Ramones box set, albums by Future and Wire, and EPs from Alice In Chains and Madonna only make up a portion of these limited records.
The new Harry Styles album appears on the May 2022 best-selling list twice with two different colored vinyl variants. The latest releases from The Black Keys and Louie Vega also ended up on the top 50 as tons of fans added these records to their collections. Wet Leg‘s debut album appears for the second month in a row as the band’s festival and TV appearances continue to build their following.
Thanks to Stranger Things, Kate Bush has been breaking charts records with her song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)”. That’s why it’s no surprise that her album Hounds Of Love is among the best-selling records on Discogs. Another ’80s classic turned modern-day sensation also inspired some collecting as Rick Astley‘s Whenever You Need Somebody claimed a spot on the top 50 list. It appears that all the memes and rickrolling over the last several years have exposed a whole new generation to the music of Rick Astley.
