Unplanned Downtime – Jan 22, 2009

Hi, all. We had some server problems last night and Discogs was down for a few hours. We are still having problems with a few servers and that is affecting search and marketplace browse pages. We are working on this right now and will get it resolved ASAP.

EDIT
Everything is back online now. It was a combination of two things. 1) our apache servers stoppeded responding due to heavy load and 2) a few hours later one of our [url=http://www.apcc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=AP9212&tab=features]MasterSwitches[/url] failed and caused some servers to lose power.

I’m very sorry about the downtime. We’re working now to make some adjustments and make sure this doesn’t happen again.

    Edit:
    The collection database of my account seem to be correct but when opening a release page it doesnt show the quantity of copies i got listed in the collection. When changing [+] or [-] it does affect and display the changes, its just not displayed when opening the page in the first place

    The Marketplace is in the process of updating. If you’ve made any changes or new listings we have record of them and they’ll be reflected once the queue of updates has finished processing.

    Any Marketplace changes that were made earlier should now be reflected. If you’re continuing to have problems please post in the [url=http://www.discogs.com/help/forums/board/262]Marketplace Help Forum[/url]

    It take a few minutes for items to appear in the marketplace from when you first put them up for sale.

    Im guessing it might take a bit longer seeing as we’ve just come out of some downtime

    Hi, when I’m posting records for sale, they don’t seem to appear in my public sale list (only in my inventory).

    it would be great to have some error page on a emergency system, just that people know what’s going on.

    i know course this is not possible in 100% every case but it would still be a great add in most of the cases…
